The introductory presentation session provided an update on any changes to the standards and assessment process. It also gave an overview of organisational achievement of compliance against the standards in 2009/10 and highlighted any areas that have been particularly challenging.

A representative from an organisation who has undergone assessment at Level 2 in 2009/10 was invited to share their experiences and provide advice on effective preparation for assessment.

Responses were provided to those questions and discussion points submitted by delegates in advance of the workshop and have informed the maternity FAQs.

Breakout session 1: Hot spots
Discussion session providing an opportunity to consider aspects of the standards and assessment that have been found to be particularly challenging.
Breakout session 2: Monitoring
An overview of the monitoring and audit requirements of the standards, with the opportunity to discuss approaches to achieving compliance at Level 1 and 3.
