In his new role as Chair, Ian Dilks will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience of financial services to the NHS LA.
NHS Litigation Authority Chief Executive, Catherine Dixon said:
“I am absolutely delighted to welcome our new Chair, Ian Dilks, who will take up his appointment from 1 April 2014 for a three year term of office.
Ian brings with him a wealth of global knowledge and over 25 years of experience of financial services, particularly insurance.”
Over the last 15 years Ian has worked with international and UK clients on a wide range of audit, regulatory and advisory assignments.
After graduating from New College Oxford in Engineering Science and Economics, Ian trained as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand, a predecessor of PricewaterhouseCoopers, PwC, in London. He became a partner in 1986 and spent much of his career working with the insurance industry.
Ian is an experienced team leader and in addition to his client responsibilities has held a number of executive business unit and industry roles within PwC. He was the UK, European and latterly the Global insurance leader for PwC.
Ian’s last role in PwC was as a member of the global leadership team where he was responsible for Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs. Ian retired from PwC in June 2013.
Ian will join Nina Wrightson, Andrew Hauser, Ros Levenson, and Professor Rory Shaw as a Non-Executive Director on the NHS LA Board.
